Visual communication is a course, where we had to bring a clear message to the audience using images, text and different fonts. It all started with the basics of eye catching. We had to edit some pictures to bring different messages to the audience. Now that we knew a little bit about image editing, we had to learn about fonts. So we had to improve a font. At the end of the course we had to combine everything we had learned to present a small inquiry we did in our class.
A picture I like
Bring a picture that you like and which has a message to class. In class we discussed every picture that the students brought with them.
1 picture, 10 versions
Edit a picture you like to improve, change and take the message away. Do this by adding something, by substitute something and by taking something away.
Improve a font
Pick a font you like. After you picked one, analyze it and improve the font. Present your improved font in a clear way.
1 verb, 2 images
Pick two pictures which have nothing to deal with each other. Add a verb to the pictures which improves the message. This verb has to be the same verb with the same layout in both the pictures.
A poster
For We create Identity, a course I did, we had to make an interactive video. As assignment, I created a poster for this video.
Chocolate flavours?
Do a inquiry in your class and present it in a clear way. Mine: “Which chocolate flavour do you like the most?”.
